About Authentic Science Research

Authentic science research is a three year science elective class in which students receive an opportunity to research a topic of her or his interest. The students usually get a mentor that is usually a professional in his/her field. The mentors often have Ph.D. in their field and usually teach or research at different universities or hospitals.

I was always interested in animal rights and how teenagers perceive it. Almost all the research done on animal rights perception has been done with adults. Very little research has been done with teenagers and the research done is dealing with age and how if effects perception of animal rights. Teenagers will become adults in a few short years. I believe that it is crutical to learn how teenagers perceive animal experimentation. This can help us get a better understanding of how adults view animals experimentation.
